This week in Jelly babies we have had lots of fun playing with sensory materials, we have loved palying peek'a'boo through the different types of netting materials and exploring textures using their fingers and hands.

This week we have also made Chocolate Cornflake Cakes, the babies used the big spoon to mix the chocolate and the cornflakes together and even tasted them! Yum Yummm!

The babies have enjoyed playing with the ICT toys this week they have been practicing counting numbers and pressing different buttons.

We have all enjoyed taking part in national rhymes week this week, we have loved to listen to and attempt to sing the different nursery rhymes esecially '5 Currant Buns'. The babies have also been exploring in the water play too, they loved splashing in the water and playing and exploring with the animals that we added.

This week in Jelly Tots We have been working very hard on both our fine and gross motor skills. We have been doing lots of working including mark making in the sand to creative different marks, animals in the sand where we looked at different animal noises, building train tracks and looking at the different sounds that can be heard when looking at trains and chalking on our chalk boards all in order to support our fine motor progression.

To work on our gross motor skills we have been very active, we have been making chocolate cornflake cakes for our cooking activity which was both very messy and very yummy! We have also been involved with role play activities such as puppets, and dressing up and we have also been doing out Tumble Tots dancing and exploring with different ways of moving.

This weeks makaton sign was "Sorry", so we have been working hard every day to learn this to use at nursery.
