Although there are daily routines in place, the nursery promotes flexibility of routine, to ensure the needs of all children are catered for.

For all babies under the age of one, the staff will follow an individual routine for the child, as discussed with parents during the home visit or settling in sessions.  Parents will need to provide all meals for their child.  After their 1st birthday, they will be able to transition onto the nursery menu and follow the nursery routine.

Our baby unit is situated behind the main nursery building and is a cosy home environment specially adapted to create a familiar atmosphere. The unit cares for babies aged 3 - 18 months and has space for them to rest, sleep, eat, play and explore.

We have an indoor astro turf area to develop our children's gross motor development through exploring larger equipment safely and independently with appropriate support.

We cater for the needs of twenty four babies daily, with the help of eight experienced members of staff. Four hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education and four hold either a Level 2 in Childcare and are working towards a Level 3 or are starting their Level 2 training. Jelly Babies work on a 1:3 ratio.

The babies in our care will always have "Special Time" with their key person - with lots of cuddles, love and interaction.
