This week in Smarties we have been practicing our fine motor control, this includes practicng our writing skills using pincer and Tri-Pod grip, and also threading activities to work on both our fine motor and our concentration skills.

We have also been doing lots of creative activities using a range of media, this includes Balloon painting where the children are making marks with small balloons and also practicing our scissor skills and smaking snips out of paper.

We have also been working on our Counting and Colour skills, being able to count independantly and spontaniously up to 5 both by route and objects and also learning about primary colours (Blue, Red, Yellow and Green) and being able to recognise them in play.

Up Stairs in Sweeties we have been doing work very similar, we have also been looking at our shapes and what links we can make in the enviroment and attempting to name the correct shapes. We have been getting involved with lots of creative activities such as Cornflour play, shaving foam play, custard play and also playing and exploring textures of different fruits.

We have also been looking at different animals in the enviroment now the weather has changed, we have been looking at where they live, what they eat and also different sounds they make.

We have also done lots of partying this week due to having lots of birthdays, we have been playing with party balloons, dancing to music being able to create our own dance moves and also doing lots of singing and building relationships with others.

Both Smarties and Sweeties have also took part in the National Nursery Rhymes Week, this is where we have a rhyme for every day of the week to learn or practice including rhymes such as 5 Currant Buns, A sailor went to sea and im a little sea pot.
