MEET OUR NURSERY COOKS

Karen and Denise prepare all meals on site daily

 

We offer a Halal, Vegetarian and Traditional English Menu

 

 

We recognise the importance of a well balanced diet for our children, and we provide a varied menu of nutritious meals that are attractively presented and prepared in our kitchen by Denise and Karen, our nursery cooks.

 

All individual needs, including religious, cultural or medical dietary requirements are catered for. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea is served. Vegetarian and Halal are catered for daily.

Children are also offered a light snack mid-morning and late afternoon, children select snack from our fresh fruit

We are dedicated followers of Jamie Oliver's healthy school menus; with our own three-week rolling menu planned by Denise and Karen  in consultation with parents based on Oliver's 5 portions a day menu suggestions. 

 

Denise and Karen  hold the following qualifications relevant to her role: 

 

Denise 

Level Two Food Safety, Nutrition and Health

 

Karen 

Level Two Food Safety, Paediatric First Aid and Nutrition and Health.

The menu is rotated on a three week cycle and children are encouraged to help serve their own dinners as well as prepare their tea time snack (dependent on stage of development).
